Raw footage is all the imagery filmed on your wedding day, unedited. There will be many hours of footage of your event, including moments captured that don't make their way into your final film. When raw footage is delivered to you, it is organized in folders and optimized so the files are easily playable on a computer or smart TV. Keep in mind that raw footage will not have color adjustments or audio enhancements.

What is raw footage?

Audio is one of the most important aspects of a quality wedding video. We make sure to capture the voices and music at your ceremony and reception using special audio recorders that are discrete and separate from the cameras. No wireless transmitters are used to ensure the recorders do not interfere with any other audio systems at your venue.

HOW DO YOU CAPTURE AUDIO DURING THE WEDDING?

Frequently asked questions

SHOULD I CONSIDER ADDING A SECOND VIDEOGRAPHER?

Most wedding shoots include two videographers, however it is not a requirement. Below are a few differences between having one and two videographers:

  • With two videographers, we are able to capture important moments that are happening in two places at once. For example, at the beginning of the day when you and your future spouse are getting dressed and ready in separate locations, two videographers can ensure that nothing is missed during that time.

  • With a second shooter, additional angles can be filmed for big moments. For example, capturing the reaction of your fiancé while you are walking down the aisle often requires two shooters - one camera on you and the other on your SO.

  • Having a second shooter also allows for more opportunities to capture moments before your main events. For example, one videographer can focus on filming your cocktail hour while the other is getting cameras, lights and audio set up for your reception.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE THE FINAL VIDEO(S)?

Your wedding films are delivered digitally via email within 3 months of the wedding date.

HOW DOES BOOKING AND PAYMENT WORK?

When you are ready to book, we'll send you a link to your digital services agreement. You will also have access to a secure portal for submitting your 50% retainer payment. The retainer payment can be paid by check, bank transfer or credit card, with no additional fees. Once the agreement is signed and payment submitted, you are booked! Then the final 50% is due on or before your wedding day.

HOW DO YOU WORK WITH OUR PHOTOGRAPHER?

Yes! In the highlight films, you will see and hear excerpts from your reception speeches, the officiant’s words during the ceremony, and/or your vows, throughout the film. If you prefer to have the highlight include only music without any voices from the wedding day, that is always an option. We will assume you prefer to include the excerpts unless you request to leave them out.

The Letterpress approach to shooting is always friendly and team-oriented. We work closely with the photographer for every wedding and make sure to reach out to them shortly before your event.
